The openVISION business grew out of a need to better support the Open Source Tools Suites, although the communitites provided a large proportion of the infrastructure needed to continue to deliver the Tools Suites project, there was no single location available where end-users could find out further information or obtain a unified view of the projects people and activities.

Sponsorship and Mentoring
The Sedona Group in Melbourne Australia, offered not only to provide the resources required to deliver this stage of the projects growth and development, but also provided project sponorship, mentoring and a physical home for the project. The openVISION project has now become the Open Source division of the Sedona Group, ensuring the continued availability of the current and planned community based projects and activities.

What Ever Happened To RussW?
The originator and driving force behind the initial Tools Suite project for the Joomla! Content Management System, Russ Winter (Joomla! Forums: RussW) continues in his role as the openVISION Tools Suite project principal, whilst continuing to fullfil his commitments to the Sedona Group as Principal Consultant, Emerging Technologies and Engineering Group.

What About justOPENSOURCE?
justOPENSOURCE has been whole-heartedly replaced by openVISION, the complete "just" series of services no longer exists, thus justOPENSOURCE was no longer able to function under the same premise, supporting multiple Open Source projects. All resources, capabilities and good-will has been brought with us to openVISION and in fact the enthusiasm and energy has simply grown beyond anything we were doing at justOPENSOURCE.
