Developer Sandbox Sites are been designed to provide site owners and developers with a unique and distinct test and development area, known as a sandbox, allowing new features, additional functionality or general site changes to be tested and viewed before deploying in to the production site environment.

Developer Sandboxes deliver the functionality as a standard Web site hosting plan, but are treated as a Add-On feature. The include a reduced set of features but the same functionality as the production Web Site environment, this way the developer can rest assured that any new features under test or development will function in exactly the same manner as the production site will, but without the increased cost of maintaining another complete hosting account.
What Do Get With a Sandbox Add-On Account?Your existing hosting account has a domain name associated with it, when you signup for a Developer Sandbox account you will see a new sub-domain in your control panel, sandbox.domainname.tld, this is a distinct web space from your producton site and can be used for backup purposes or secondary site presentation if desired as well as a unique development site space.
